Twisted Farm Food

Orange and Pineapple Mimosas, originally uploaded by queenkv.

A fruity way to start breakfast at the Hash House A-Go-Go inside Legends. The restaurant prides itself on serving “Twisted” Farm Food. It’s like re-inveting comfort food with a haute cuisine mentality.

I could not finish this huge serving.
The sage fried chicken was served with scrambled eggs and mozzarella, plus bacon, biscuits and tomatoes.

Different Sides of American Food

Indian Taco, originally uploaded by queenkv.

From Cider Days at the Kansas Expocentre. It’s a perfect antidote for a hangover…but it punished my tummy in the long run.

Elk Burger and Brown Rice, originally uploaded by queenkv.

From Local Burger. My first taste of Elk. Very hearty and a little gamey…but still tasty. According to the menu, the meat is from grass-fed elk out of the Rocky Hills Elk Ranch at Winchester, Kansas. I also adore the cleansing side of brown rice.
